Born in Finfine (Addis Ababa), in Oromia, Hundee came to the United States in 2002. He completed his high school in Finfine and is currently a junior at Georgia State University majoring in Finance with the minor in Real Estate.

After completing his bachelor's degree, Hundee's plan is to pursue his MBA and strengthen his leadership and entrepreneurial skills. He is very determined and optimistic about his future.

Hundee’s current and long-term desire is to create unity among all Oromos: “ A united Oromia will be able to achieve social, economic and political goals. A better economic condition for Oromos increases the growth of Oromia,” Hundee comments.

Hundee’s volunteering experience is not limited to Oromo Community of Georgia. He also volunteers at Rebuilding Together and Habitat for Humanity and is a member of Urban Land Institute, a nonprofit education and research institute focusing on the use of land in order to enhance the total environment.

Hundee believes in the importance of education. He says, “The ever-changing global economy makes investing in education more important than ever before.” Hundee would like to be able to provide Oromos back home the tools and resources to enhance their skills to compete in the global business environment. Hundee comments, “Higher education will prepare all of us to meet this global challenge. And Gadab Foundation allows Oromos to maximize their potential by helping them to become a productive citizens in their community.”
