2006 GF Scholarship Recipients
Congratulations to the 2006 GF Scholarship recipients!
Based on rigorous evaluation of an extremely competitive collection of applications this year, we are very pleased to announce that the following students have been selected to receive the 2006 Gadab Foundation scholarship. We are excited and proud to award the scholarship to outstanding students demonstrating academic excellence, leadership and service in both school and community. Furthermore, the Gadab Foundation Scholarship Committee selected these students based not only on their strong academic achievements, but also on their educational goals, personal characteristics and their financial need.

Selection method
The students were evaluated in four major areas:
- Grade Point Average (GPA) (35%)
- Essay (20%)
- Leadership ability/financial need/community and school involvement (30%)
- Teacher recommendation (15%)
Distribution of scholarship The scholarship will be disbursed every semester if a 3.5 GPA is maintained. The money can be used for books, supplies, tuition as well as personal use such as clothing, transportations and meals.
In order to receive the scholarship the students must:
- send a copy of semester schedule of classes from the university in which they are enrolled
- provide mailing address as well as the contact information of the university’s admission office
- submit official academic transcript at the end of each semester
- be a full time student with good academic standing.
Benefits
- Based on their financial need, the students will receive the scholarship money which can be applied to tuition, fees, books, etc...
- Renewable for up to four years as long as he/she maintains eligibility
- Summer internships, in most cases
- Mentor from Gadab Foundation staff assigned as informal student advisor
- Opportunity to meet other scholarship recipients
The Foundation would like to congratulate the Gadab Foundation Scholarship recipients on earning this comparative scholarship. We are, once again, very excited and thrilled to award these outstanding students who we believed have the potential to change their society.
