The Gadab Foundation Scholarship Program, established in 2006, is to assist currently enrolled Oromo Students in High School as well as universities in Oromia (East Africa, Ethiopia). The Foundation is non-profit, non-political, and non-religious organization. The purpose is mainly educational and is aimed at providing financial and other aid in the form of scholarship awards to enable students obtain all necessary material and to meet requirements of their courses and to be able to complete their High School education and continue on to university. The Foundation wishes to help raise the level of student retention in the schools in the Oromia District. Consequently the Foundation encourages students to remain in school during the period of the scholarship until they achieve their academic goals. The Gadab Foundation award is competitive and makes this scholarship available only to aspiring, hardworking and deserving students with good school continuity record. Female students and students from disadvantaged parents or homes are encouraged to apply for the scholarship to cover their fees, supplies and other needs. >>>
